The brief

One island, one community — a film about a place, not just a property.

Koh Sdach — Kings Island — is a small fishing island off Cambodia’s southern coast, and Royal Beach is the resort growing with it. The brief went beyond a hotel showcase: a story-driven destination film with voice-over, documentary in tone, introducing the island, its people and the stay together.

The approach

The film opens with the island’s own morning — fishermen preparing their nets, a barber welcoming his first guest — before the resort enters the story. Scripted voice-over carries it like a short documentary, and the community is on screen as itself, not as a backdrop. It’s the studio’s formula at full stretch: cinematic discipline, unscripted human truth.

The film was published by Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and shared by the official page of Samdech Hun Sen — where a single post drew 8,600+ reactions and 1,700+ shares — and by the Minister of Tourism’s own page. A hotel film became part of the national tourism conversation.

How it was used
